An integrated Campaign

Don’t know the answer? Ask the Google App.

The Google app is the faster and easier way to do everything, from playing a song to finding the answer to just about any question. We wanted to spark people’s curiosity and have them ask Google questions of their own by placing contextually relevant questions in all kinds of places.

Agency: 72andSunny LA § Role: Lead Creative and Designer

Launch

To kick off the campaign, we took over one of the most on-the-go cities: New York. Hand-crafted questions were integrated seamlessly into environments across the boroughs by partnering with local businesses and famous landmarks. The answers for each contextual question could be found by asking the Google app, creating a surprising and delightful experience for anyone asking in that moment.

Contextual also online

On The New York Times and Washington Post sites, we created real time banners that would populate with relevant questions as the news rolled in. And by "populate," I mean we were in the newsroom hitting refresh, writing thousands of queries throughout the entire day.

And on Google's social media channels we created illustrated daily queries for trending topics and cultural moments.
